pxx003 Eczema is basicaly a sterile vesicular rash... evolution to hyper keratosis is common. Secondary infection is possible. Primary eczema is rare. We have to consider first that eczema is a secondary reaction to a primary cause (can be scabies, tinea, allergic reaction, abcess or any other skin lesion...). Treating eczema without treating the cause simply means that the eczema will return... For this patient, the cause of eczema was scabies. See "6-allergy" & 28-scabies"
