Patients are often sent to the hospice because of alarming looking skin diseases (severe generalized skin edema, fissures of skin (1) caused by edema, pus, etc.). Confusion is possible with erycipèle but a history of the disease help: Erythroderma is a generalized disease and had its specific look before the secondary infection (see "30-Erythroderma")
